These terms are the agreement between you and Hoang Minh Duc, the independent developer who publishes the app ("we", "us"), for Cue, which appears as Cue on your home screen, and this website.

By downloading or using Cue you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you may use the app only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms on your behalf.
Our Privacy Policy explains what the app stores and what it sends; it forms part of this agreement.
Cue is a drawing instrument. You draw lines and tap on a sheet of paper, and the app plays what you drew as music, which you can export as a video. It is provided for your personal, non-commercial enjoyment, with the exception described under Your drawings are yours.
Cue is free to download and use with limits: you can keep up to two prints and draw with the first two inks. The free version shows advertisements. Those limits are part of the product, not a fault, and they may change as the app develops.
Manage or cancel your subscription in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Because Apple is the merchant of record, refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Nothing here limits refund rights you have under the consumer law of your country.
You own everything you make in Cue — your prints, the videos you export and the inks you record — and you are free to publish, perform and sell them. We claim no ownership and take no share. We don't need a licence to your work, because your work never reaches us: it stays on your device.
The built-in instrument sounds, sample prints and papers may be used inside anything you make with the app. You may not extract them and redistribute them as a sound library, sample pack or asset set.
When you bring a photo, a recording or an audio file into the app, you're confirming you have the right to use it. Don't use material you don't have permission for, and don't record people without their consent. Everything you import is processed on your device, so this is a matter between you and whoever holds those rights.
Use Cue for making music. Don't:
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
The app, its name, Cue, its artwork, sounds and this website belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. These terms give you a licence to use the app, not ownership of any part of it.
The app uses Apple StoreKit for purchases, Google Firebase for configuration, analytics and crash reporting, Google AdMob for advertising in the free version, and Qonversion for subscription measurement. Your use of the app is also subject to those providers' terms, and we aren't responsible for their services. The Privacy Policy explains what each one receives.
We may add, change or remove features, and we may stop distributing or supporting the app. Some features depend on your device: arrangement by Apple's on-device model needs a supported device with Apple Intelligence turned on, and the app falls back to built-in arrangements elsewhere. We don't promise the app will be available without interruption or free of bugs.
If we discontinue Premium, we'll stop new subscriptions and let existing ones run to the end of their paid period.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions don't allow this, so parts of it may not apply to you.
Cue stores your work on your device only. Keep your own backups — through iCloud or by exporting videos — because we cannot recover anything you lose.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost work, lost profits or lost data arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
This agreement is between you and us, not with Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support for the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim about the app, including product liability, consumer protection or intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as terrorist-supporting, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
You can end it at any time by deleting the app; cancel any subscription separately through Apple. We may suspend or end your licence if you materially breach these terms. The sections on intellectual property, warranties, liability and governing law survive.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, and disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Vietnam. If you're a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings there.
If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
